This was a good book but of all the Braddock siblings, Malcolm is my favorite. The chemistry between Tyson and Felicia was believable and the rest of the cast were okay. The storyline seemed a bit rushed but I enjoyed it just the same.
However, Ty's actions are a little too much for Felicia's mind, heart and body. This is the third book in The Braddocks: Secret Son series. Felicia is a school teacher, who loves children and loves her job, but she also loves her husband and her home. They discovered that they still loved one another and chose that moment to get physically involved. Felicia wants this marriage to work and Ty thinks he does to. Arthur woves a story of love, a great love that goes through what most loves experiences -- love, heartbreak, heartache, reconciliation, and finally, if it is a love that is meant to do, -- a binding love that lasts forever.Tyson Braddock is a hard working guy, that feels he has something to prove -- being the second child of three, Ty feels he is in the middle of everything. C.
His older brother, Malcolm is a take control, take-charge kind of guy while his baby sister, Shondra is a smart, successful, woman who knows what she wants and usually gets it. Therefore, Ty puts all his energy into his work, working long hours to achieve what he wants -- to be successful on his own, not making it on the family's name or because his father was Senator Braddock. However, while Ty is busily working, he forgets that he has a beautiful wife, Felicia at home. "Second Chance, Baby" is definitely a great book. This is their chance at trying to make their marriage work. After being separated a while, they come together for comfort that developed into more than just being there for one another providing support at a time when they both needed it. Now they are execting parents, so it is not only a second chance for them, but a chance for them as parents also. So, Ty stays away for some time, but in the end his heart knows where he wants to be and so does Felicia's heart. She leaves again for the good of them all and Ty is forced once and for all to make a decision -- one that is a costly one and can cost him not only his one true love, Felicia, but the love of their unborn child.
This time, A. Especially, when her feelings about their relationship starts to interfere with her health and the health of their unborn child. Felicia knows how to separate work from home life. She is now beginning to wonder if Ty knows and can do the same. Felicia has a tough decision to make -- one that will affect them all. The love that runs from each of them comes back together as one true love giving both of them a second chance.Wonderful, love story of a binding love and commitment.
This story tho, fiction reminds the reader that good sex alone and even loving your spouse is not enough to have a successful marriage. Stories about married couples are the minority but are interesting to read. The romance genre tends to concentrate mainly on getting single couples together then ends with either the proposal, marriage or agreement to be a couple. Does Tyson learn this lesson before its too late. This is a good continuation of the Braddock series about the second child, Tyson Braddock, handsome, rich, successful but a workaholic that is driving his wife away from him. Despite their enstrangement a night of loving leaves Felicia Braddock pregnant, this is the catalyst for the marriage to either be repaired or for things to come to an end. Worth reading, to keep find out about the rest of the Braddock clan and more information is added about the mystery of their fathers death, tho I think I have figured out who is really responsible. It ends with a good lead for book four.
I was not aware this book was part of a series until the end. Due to the tragic death of the Braddock patriarch Congressman Braddock the whole family is in turmoil. It took almost losing his child and wife for good in order for Tyson to realize it was time to realign his priorities. The characters are a part of this book and do not give off the hint that you missed the first two books of the series. A romantic story about love and marriage with a few mystery and dramatic scenes that lead up to the next installment. A neglected woman Felicia's only request is that her husband give her his time. This book really holds its own. Felicia had left her husband due to neglect prior to the death of his father but the tragedy caused a one night reconciliation that produced a pregnancy.
Tyson's priorities are different. He wants money, power and success at all costs. He finally got them together and his wife is the happiest woman on earth. This book is a must read for the romantic.
I think Felicia was manipulative, needy and lacked true understanding. I am normally a fan of A.C. I understand she was pregnant, but she got on my nerves. Arthur's books and think characters are fabulous, but this one missed just a little bit for me. It was good, but I agree it started out slow. That little stunt she pulled was a bit over the top and she truly was overly dramatic through-out the whole story. It just missed the mark for me and I was disappointed.
